About this event
Help us Support the amazing Pinta Project!
March with us on June 1st to support the
7th Annual Buffalo Grove Pride Parade!
Once again, we are a sponsor of the parade and this year's theme is Pride is Natural.
We're excited to have representatives from LWVIL joining us this year and I can't wait to see representation from across the State show their support, so be sure to bring your local flags/signs. No float this year, simply folks walking behind our banner and handing out cards/candy.
It's always family friendly and a GREAT time! Good energy, guaranteed. The parade path is just under one mile beginning near Buffalo Grove and La Salle and ending on Deerfield Parkway at the fitness center that shares the parking lot with Mike Rylko Park.
Walkers should be at our spot #42 by 10:30
Important Details:
All parade walkers and participants who are not actually driving a vehicle in the parade will park in the neighborhoods surrounding the parade path.
The closest and easiest way to get to staging would be to enter Brandywyn off of Aptakisic and find parking as close to LaSalle as possible. It is also a short walk if you choose to park on Thompson Blvd.
PLEASE carpool; there are about 2,000 participants all needing to get to the staging area.
Participants can also be dropped off at the staging area by entering Brandywyn from Aptakisic and driving down LaSalle where officers will help you to drop off and loop back out.
After participants are dropped off, we request that cars travel to the end of the route where the Pride Picnic is happening to walk out to Deerfield Parkway for parade viewing. This will allow us to keep spots open for those driving themselves closest to staging and will allow parents to meet their kids at the end of the parade with their vehicle already close by.
