General Primary Election 2007-2008

October 29, 2007 – First day to file original nominations papers in the office of the local election official or Board of Election Commissioners

November 5, 2007 – Last day to file by 5 p.m.

December 26, 2007 – First day to apply for an absentee ballot by mail or in person for reason of absence from county of residence

January 8, 2008 - Last day to register by deputy registrars

January 9, 2008 - Grace period registration begins at office of election authority or place designated by election authority

January 9, 2008 - First day for grace period voting at the election authority's office or place designated by election authority

January 14, 2008 - Early voting begins at office of election authority or sites designated by election authority

January 22, 2008 - Grace period registration ends

January 22, 2008 – Grace period voting ends

January 31, 2008 – Early voting ends

February 5, 2008 – General Primary Election

February 7, 2008 – Registration reopens
